Save our services in Louisiana

In Louisiana, many people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are not able to access the services they need because the reimbursement rates are not enough to cover the rising costs. Rates have been cut several times over the past 10 years, but never restored.

Evergreen and other providers in Louisiana are operating on 2008 reimbursement rates. Can you imagine not getting a pay increase in 10 years?

In an effort to prevent another cut to reimbursement rates, the individuals we serve in Louisiana have written 1,400 postcards to state legislators imploring them to fully fund services for people with developmental disabilities.

We are hopeful that the actions of those served by Evergreen and our staff will result in a positive impact on the funding of services in Louisiana.
