Everyone needs a break. The love, service and support that is required when caring for an individual with an intellectual and/or developmental disability or an elderly person can be draining. To help caregivers relax and recharge, Evergreen provides a variety of respite care services. In most situations, an Evergreen member comes into the home for a set number of hours or days—even overnight.

 

Evergreen understands the difficulties that a family faces when a loved one is unable to perform daily and personal tasks. Personal assistance services often enable caregivers to keep their loved one in the comfort of their own home, rather than having to move him or her to a facility.

Personal care assistance help with daily activities, including but not limited to:

• Getting in and out of bed
• Light housekeeping
• Bathing
• Toileting
• Dressing
• Transportation to errands, doctors’ appoints and more.
• Medication reminders
• Appointment scheduling
• Reading
• Companionship
