The Need in Longview and Texarkana
For individuals with I/DD in Longview and Texarkana, daily life can present complex challenges. With the right support, those challenges can give way to meaningful growth, connection, and independence. While some may experience social isolation or limited opportunities to engage in their communities, Evergreen helps create pathways to new experiences, relationships, and a true sense of belonging. Through consistent, local support, individuals gain confidence, build essential life skills, and enjoy fuller, more connected lives.

Today, 60 individuals attend our day centers and live in community homes across the Longview and Texarkana area. You can help provide for their daily needs, fostering independence and enhancing their overall quality of life.
Most of the individuals we serve will require lifelong support, making your contribution not just helpful but truly life-changing.

• Everyday home essentials: groceries, sturdy home furnishings, and small and large appliances
• Healthcare needs: dental care and procedures
• Transportation: fuel for group vehicles that help individuals get to work, appointments, and community activities
• Safe and accessible homes: general maintenance, refurbishments, accessibility updates, and repair projects
• Outdoor living improvements: accessibility upgrades, yard and lawn care, and shared outdoor spaces like pergolas, gazebos, and seating areas
• Independent living programs: occupational therapy, money management, cooking classes, and other skill-building opportunities
• Fine Arts Programs: cultural, creative, and visual arts, as well as music therapy, that encourage education, expression, and emotional well-being
